Composer - Edward Willoughby
Edward is a composer, arranger and sound artist favouring piano as his central creative platform. He has played the piano from a young age, and a lifelong love of the arts has led Edward to commit his artistic future to the composition and performance of original music for a range of contexts. Edward is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Applied Music specialising in Composition, and spreads his creative pursuits between purely musical works as well as more abstract cross-media applications using sound design and electronic sound manipulation for integration in live dance and theatre works. He has composed and performed live music for Gareth Hart's last three dance works, The Space Between (2011), Ellipsis (2012), and Symphony of Strange (2013) and has contributed sound and music for Renae Shadler's last two performance works, Polly Wolly (2011) and In-Ya-Ear (2011). Edward has also scored several short films for students from Deakin University and Swinburne TAFE, as well as scoring the award-winning short film 'The Immortal Game' in the 2012 '24 Hour Film Project.'
