The Amber of the Moment is a participatory live public art work. Collaborating artists move within public space offering a suite of stories to share with the public. Stories containing local history, indigenous dreamtime and other creative, or morality, tales comprise the collection. Dressed in white and carrying white umbrellas the performers garner mixed reactions. Performed at Emerald PAVE Festival's FunFest (2014), a family street party event, the facilitating artists saw that some participants were curious, engaged, moved, laughing, appreciative and others quick to disappear. Interestingly one festival goer contacted festival management via email following the day of the festival to inquire if the people in white were "a part of a cult?"
